- Establishing a home-school connection and positive family relations through interactive communication with parents
- Provide a variety of developmentally appropriate activities to engage children in learning
- Responsible for the overall classroom management, creating a safe, nurturing and engaging learning environment.
- Encourage creativity through art, music, dramatic play and blocks.
- Provide a reasonable balance between teacher-directed and child-directed activities
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development, Psychology or related field OR proof of current enrollment in a Bachelor's, Associate's or CDA Credentialing Program
- 1-2 years of previous experience preferred
- Strong work ethic and communication skills
- Positive attitude and inherent love for young children
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations. For Infant and Young Toddler Teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib
